 Meet Us

  • Dr Taylor Epplett-Fletcher

    OWNER + HEAD CHIROPRACTOR

Kia Ora, before moving to Auckland and studying to join New Zealand’s incredible team of chiropractors, I was born and raised in beautiful Hawkes Bay. After nearly 6 years, I’ve decided to come back home to my roots and build a clinic to give back to my family, friends and community.

Each day I gain more passion and respect for the essential role chiropractic has for the spine and nervous system. I love working with all ranges of people, from family’s of all ages, to determined athletes looking to up their game. Here at Joint Space, I strive to make your goals my own, whether it's getting out of pain and discomfort, or optimising your body’s function.

  • Dr Molly Haslett

    CHIROPRACTOR

Kia Ora! I developed a deep appreciation for the role of the nervous system in overall health and wellbeing after having a fall in my early twenties which led to debilitating lower back pain. Fortunately my brother was a chiropractor and through specific spinal analysis and adjustments I not only moved away from chronic pain, I got back to doing all the things I loved. This inspired me to return to study for 5 years, in order to understand more about our incredible body and its innate ability to heal when given the right conditions. My mission is to educate and help other people like me, to heal, adapt and perform at their best.

I use a combination of Diversified, Activator, and Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) to deliver care that is gentle, specific, and tailored to each individual. I genuinely enjoy working with people and families from all walks of life—from peps just a few days old through to our wonderful retirees and everyone in between.

While I’m confident in addressing a wide range of presentations, I have a special interest in neck pain, headaches, and jaw dysfunction. I also love caring for pregnant mums and their bubs, ensuring this beautiful dyad is supported and thriving throughout postpartum and beyond. I’m currently undertaking a two-year postgraduate diplomate in paediatrics to continue to deepen my knowledge in this area.

Outside of practice, I love getting outdoors with my family—whether it’s a bike ride, camping, or a game of tennis. Working and raising a family in beautiful Hawke’s Bay is something I’m truly grateful for, and I feel privileged to support the health of this awesome community.

  • Keeley Swinton

    OWNER + CREATIVE LEAD

As co-owner of Joint Space Chiropractic, I bring my passion for movement, creativity, and holistic wellbeing into everything we do. I’m a proud partner to Taylor, a hands-on mum, and a professional stuntwoman, so I know firsthand how essential chiropractic care is for me. staying strong, balanced, and injury-free. It’s not just part of my routine; it’s a key part of my lifestyle and an absolute game-changer for my career.

Alongside supporting our clients, I take care of all things creative, managing our content, branding, and community presence to make sure our business reflects who we are: welcoming, grounded, and committed to helping people move and live well.

  • Vanessa Choat

    CHIROPRACTIC ASSISTANT

In her role at the practice, Vanessa loves helping patients and seeing them get out of pain and on the path towards optimal health. “I chose this path as I was looking for something that was energy-filling, energy-giving, holistic and wholesome.” Vanessa also likes that her position has allowed her to develop new skills and build connections with people.

Outside the practice, Vanessa likes working out at the gym, going on weekend adventures, hitting the beach and exploring new places. Other favourite activities include baking, gardening, cafe hopping and spending quality time with friends and family.

Our mission within our community of Hastings, is to help people unlock their maximum potential, to feel stronger, healthier and more focused than ever.

Our vision is everyone expressing their best, in everything they do.

How we can help

What we do as Chiropractors is quite simple; we assess your spine and nervous system for any areas of dysfunction or dis-ease. We do this using many techniques, tools and technology, to ensure a thorough and detailed exam of your body.

  • Undertaking a Comprehensive History

Regarding all the factors, stressors and injuries you may have had throughout your lifetime, leading up to this current day.

  • Insight Neuro Technology

A set of three accurate and precise scans, to show us exactly how your body and nervous system are working. These scans will give you precise data on exactly where the stress in your body is, and what kind of condition it’s in. These scans consist of an HRV monitor, a Neurothermal device and an sEMG.

  • Chiropractic Spinal Exam

The foundation of what chiropractic is all about, being able to identify exactly where the source of the problem is and how we’re going to carefully facilitate its correction. This exam is what will be performed at every visit, and is going to be one of the main ways we assess you along your chiropractic journey.

  • Chiropractic Techniques

These techniques are what allows a chiropractor to assess your nervous system and spine in such a specific way. We are locating an area of dysfunction, analysing it and then using safe and effective adjustments to allow the body to correct the dysfunction and restore full communication between your brain and body. Some of these techniques consist of Gonstead, diversified, activator and Webster.

  • Our Neurological-based Approach

Rather than simply focusing on a "band-aid" approach that relieves pain temporarily but doesn't address the root of the problem, we take the time to discover the underlying cause of your symptoms and provide care that helps to restore spinal health and nervous system integrity so that you don't just feel better, you also function better. Our techniques are based on research, and we pride ourselves on staying current with the latest advances in chiropractic care for people of all ages.

  • Making Care Accessible

We're open 7am to 7pm Monday through Friday to make getting the care you need convenient for your busy schedule. We accept walk-ins, have our own car park and the clinic is wheelchair accessible.

  • Who We Help

Providing care for newborns through seniors and everyone in between, our goal is to help you and your family feel and function your best so you can enjoy life to the fullest at any age. We see lots of babies, tradies and office workers, and we provide targeted care for pregnancy, paediatrics and athletes. Our warm, welcoming practice is kid-friendly so you don't have to worry about kiddos being on their best behaviour!
